Randy Howe...
has been a teacher since graduating from Hobart College in 1993 and a professional writer since 2001 when he was first hired to pen a weekly philosophy article for McGraw-Hill's college division.
Since that time, Randy has published more than 25 books and trivia card box sets with Kaplan and The Globe Pequot Press.
Although there has been considerable emphasis on teaching (The Quotable Teacher and A+ Educators are regularly featured on gift tables at Borders and Barnes & Noble, First Year Teacher is an oft-quoted guide, and Teacher Haiku is due out in the fall of 2009), his books cover everything from history (Speak to Me!, Flags of the Fifty States and The Quotable John Adams) to sports (The Yankees Fanatic, 1001 Stupidest Sports Quotes, Coachisms, and the "Weekend Warrior" series, which includes golf, softball, basketball, and football) to politics (Why I Hate the Republicans and Why I Hate the Democrats).
During the day, he is a special education teacher at The Sound School in New Haven and when not writing he can be heard providing interviews and insight to NPR stations like WPR in Wisconsin and WBUR in Boston.
Raised in Mt. Kisco, NY, Randy and his family now call Madison, CT home.
